40 hours per week

Oaktree Care Home are looking for a new Activities Assistant to join the activities team. Training will be given to the right candidate & you will be supported and guided by an experienced member of staff. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating a better living experience for older people; someone who can help provide stimulating and social sessions for all kinds of older people and inspire them to try new things.

Are you self-motivated, confident and brilliant at planning? Can you build positive relationships with patience & kindness?

Knowledge and Experience

·         Previous knowledge and/or experience of working within a relevant and appropriate healthcare environment is essential
·         Demonstrated interest in the wellness of older people (i.e. Dementia Friend, Alternative Therapies & Mental Health advocacy)
·         Previous experience of working with older people is preffered 

Skills and Abilities

·         Ensure confidentiality

·         Excellent presentation skills

·         Excellent planning and organisational skills through to completion

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills
